After winning the tournament last year, you know being in the seventh-place game wasn’t the plan for the Colony Knights.

Rather than pout, they pounded Juneau 73-46 to end things on a high note.

Colony all-star Patrick McMahon led the way with 25 points and showed off a complete post package that included five dunks, a double-pump layup and beautiful up-and-under move.

The 6-foot-6 junior had at least nine dunks in the tournament and displayed once again why he is considered one of the most exciting players in Alaska.

Colton Spencer pumped in 12 points, including a runner and 3-pointer on back-to-back possessions that extended Colony’s lead to 43-30 midway through the third quarter.

The Knights pushed the lead to 67-39 after four consecutive 3-pointers – one from Finn Johnson, one from McMahon and two from Evan Gatton.

Juneau’s Cooper Kriegmont pumped in 25 points and finished the tournament with 77 points – tied for No. 10 on the Classic’s all-time list and sixth most among Alaskans.
